Tips for using Walks Manager

  • Walks Manager (WM) is now the management system for future walks - See 'Useful links  for Walks Manager box' for access and guidance
  • IMPORTANT - Before entering your first walk in the new system, please check your contact preferences (Page 31 of The Guide)
  • If any details are incorrect or absent then you must correct these yourself - see Page 31 of the Guide.
  • Adding a walk - see the Introduction on Page 5 followed by Creating a Walk from Page 8 onwards.
  • Once you have completed all the pages select Submit for Checking.
  • This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. that you have entered a walk for publication
  • If there are any problems with the system check the  Walks Manager Status 
  • we prefer you to enter the walk yourself but If you struggle with WM please ask someone to enter it for you

Request to enter details in Walk Manager

Please fill in the boxes below so that we can enter the details in the new Walks Manager. Those with a * are essential.

Please enter your name.
Please enter your email address
Please select Date and time using dropdown options.
Please give your walk a title
Say as much as you can about your walk to encourage walkers.
Please select whether it is linear or circular route.
Details of starting point and include full Grid Reference and postcode where possible.
Please state how difficult the walk is likely to be.
Please enter the distance in miles for your walk (eg 6.7). GWEM will not accept a range.
If you are not already a Contact in GWEM, please provide email and phone number to enter in GWEM.
Please include any other information which may be useful for walkers. Not essential.
Please indicate if dogs would be OK on this walk. Routes through meadows with cattle are not a good idea with dogs.
